Description:
Very slender, erect, 10-22 cm high; leaves in a basal rosette. Flower solitary. Forms dense colonies in well shaded areas. This gives a good example of the variance in orchids. The flower here is not solitary and the leaves on this patch of greenhoods are three times as long and wide as the literature suggests.
Flowering:
Flowers July to October.
Threats:
Can easily be overgrown by more vigorous species.
Management:
Increases vegetatively by bulb division and does very well providing occasional clearing up is carried out while dormant.
