Description:
Plants with contracted horizontal rhizomes, to 50 cm high. Grey-beard grass is not a good name for it since it looks nothing like greybeard. Probably carried through from Amphipogon caricinus which does resemble greybeard.

Flowering:
Flowers October to April.

Threats:
Can be overgrown by more vigorous species.

Management:
Control more vigorous species.
