Description:
Tufted perennial 0.45-0.9 m high. It has been suggested that the species may have been introduced from the eastern states, but there is no evidence available to establish the truth of this.

Flowering:
Flowers from October to December.

Threats:
Seems to thrive.

Management:
Like all grasses it likes a mowing every few years.
