The books say this is an annual herb sometimes persisting for a second year, but my experience is that it is a perennial dying back to a rootstock each summer..

Flowering:
Flowers July to December.

Threats:
Plants such as Craspedia and Brunonia can be easily lost when they die back to a rootstock in summer.

Management:
Grown easily from seed.
