Description:
Perennial herb with stems to 20 cm long. Leaves in basal rosettes. Differs from geniculata in that the leaves are shiny smooth and not as long. According to Maiden a species of goodenia was supposed to be used by the native gins to cause their young children to sleep while on long journeys.
Flowering:
Flowers September - February.
Threats:
Can be overgrown by more vigorous species.
Management:
Does reasonably well in a properly managed bush garden.
