Description:
There are six varieties recognised within this species. All six varieties occur in South Australia. The one growing in the Aldgate Valley and hence at Wirrapunga is var. lanceolata. It is a shrub usually less than 2 m high although it does grow taller. It does not have spines. The stamens exceed the petals.

Flowers October - February.
Threats:
Seems to do well.
Management:
Does not seem to need an special management. Grows very easily from spread seed.
