Thysanotus patersonii

Description:
Perennial herb, with tuberous roots consisting of a group of ellipsoid tubers; leaves produced infrequently, 1 or 2, radical, linear, terete, 10-20 cm tall; stems usually 1,occasionally 2, produced annually; stems twining around vegetation, or in the absence of suitable vegetation, trailing along the ground; branches usually many, finally each branch terminating in a single flower. With proper management will form large clumps of spectacular flowers.

Flowering:
Flowers August to November.

Threats:
Can be overgrown by more vigorous species.

Management:
Must be managed correctly to get the best effect. This can be achieved by mowing the area through summer and weeding through winter.
