Bothriochloa macra

Description:
A tussocky grass that is becoming difficult to find in the Adelaide Hills being listed as threatened although I do not know why. It is classed as unpalatable so it shouldn't have been eaten out. I was fortunate to get some seeds from Mt Barker.

Flowering:
Flowers December to April.

Threats:
Can be overgrown by more vigorous species.

Management:
Control more vigorous species.
