I have been painting watercolours for the past 7 years and am intensely interested in trying to portray the natural environment that surrounds us at Wirrapunga.

"Red-browed Finches on Kangaroo Grass”
There is so much colour on a red-browed finch and yet their grey green back and wings camouflage them into the bush with ease; and Kangaroo Grass is one of the most elegant of grasses.

“Feeding Frenzy 1”
Some years as the Juncus pallidus comes into flower there is a feeding frenzy of Common Brown Butterflies attracted to the nectar. As Juncus pallidus has no obvious flowers it looks as if they are feeding on the plants themselves. Juncus pallidus is an easy plant to grow in your garden and great butterfly food!

“Glossodia major”
This is a beautiful spring flowering orchid which shows its flowers to the sky. There is nothing better that walking through the bush and coming across a patch of purple blossoms waving in the breeze.
