Description:
Tufted without a rhizome. Culms unbranched, not wiry, 0.3 - 0.8 m high.


Flowering:
Flowers August - November.


Threats:
Can be overgrown by introduced grass species.


Management:
Like all grasses it has evolved to be grazed. An occassional mowing, therefore, helps it to thrive.
